We expect to have a variety of openings coming up or currently open in our manufacturing plant in Altoona, PA. Although some specialty positions may be posted separately, such as for our Welding or CNC Operation areas, many positions within the company do not require a specific skill set or specialized knowledge. When we look to hire in these areas we look for the following key skills and attributes:
 

• Basic computer skills - will be using computer daily to log work times
• Basic math skills - able to read a ruler and add/subtract fractions, inches, cm, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, or learn to read them
• Ability to follow instructions and work quickly, maintaining quality standards
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
• High degree of dependability -- we need you to be able to maintain a regular work schedule and keep unscheduled absences, lates and early leaves to a minimum
• Team player -- we need mature, responsible individuals who really want to work at Blair. We strive to have a culture of respect at Blair.
