Maintenance Technician

JOB FUNCTION

Maintain, diagnose, service and repair machinery, equipment, electrical, pneumatic and plumbing fixtures for two manufacturing facilities and offices.  Perform preventive maintenance.  Maintain building and grounds.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Full Time, Regular, Hourly

WORK HOURS:  First Shift, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (four 10-hour work days with OT on Fridays as applicable)

BASIC SKILLS

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Welding (basic)
• Cutting
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Pneumatic
• Hydraulic
• Accurate use of a tape measure of other measuring devices

CORE SKILLS - essential for position

• Computer interface
• Machine interface
• Electrical
• Layout and fitting
• Painting (brush/roller)
• Welding
• Assembly - general, electrical, mechanical
• Hand tools
• Power tools
• Cutting, fabricating with and forming metal
• Ability to work independently with sound judgement
• Ability to work as part of a team when necessary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Manufacturing environment - appropriate safety equipment and precautions required such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, hard hat, welding PPE, etc.
• Lifting product up to 50 pounds
• Fast-paced work as needed
• Tobacco-free facility
