Engineering Intern

Product Engineering interns will aid in the design, prototyping, and testing of components and products throughout Blair’s catalog, as well as designing and implementing test procedures, production work instructions, and aid in manufacturing through the design, will assist in the design of production documents and BOO/BOM setup, and implementation of production fixtures and jigs. Interns are required to have CAD and 3D Modeling experience. This internship is very hands-on and requires that applicants have a working knowledge of basic and power tools. Soldering experience is a plus, but not a must, as on-site training will take place for any skills not yet established.

Training

Drugs and Alcohol

Eligible to join the first day of the month after 60 days of employment. Blair shares cost of premium for family or individual coverage.

Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment. This plan is optional to those who choose to enroll in Blair’s Health Care Benefits.

Life Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment. Company funded life insurance, with the option to sign up for additional insurance paid for by the employee. Includes spouse and children also.

Paid Parental Leave

Employees who qualify for and are granted leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for the birth or adoption of a child will be eligible for Paid Parental Leave through the policy of Blair Companies.

Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment. Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company. Employees may use or save accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment. Includes 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options. Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.
