Our Image Group main manufacturing plant is located in Altoona, PA, however we have offices in other parts of the country.  We also have a business relationship with partners in Germany, Australia, and China.  We have approximately 325 employees, on two or three shifts.  We provide the following products and services:

Drugs and Alcohol
Blair does not tolerate drugs and alcohol on the premises, or the use of either while working.  We have the following polices in place: Pre-Employment Testing, Post-Accident Testing , Reasonable Suspicion Testing,  CDL Driver Testing, Random Screening

Health Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 60 days of employment.  Blair shares cost of premium for family or individual coverage.

Vision Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment.  This plan is provided in conjunction with the Health Care Benefits.
 
Dental Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment.  This plan is optional to those who choose to enroll in Blair’s Health Care Benefits.

Life Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Company funded life insurance, with the option to sign up for additional insurance paid for by the employee.  Includes spouse and children also.

Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company.  Employees may use accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment.  Up to 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Employees can contribute up to 15% of salary. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options.  Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.  Eligible to participate after one year of employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops, publishes and maintains Master Production Schedule for all Sign customer accounts
  • Establishes ERP protocols to blend systems software (xTuple) and bridge software with Blair business models producing a highly effective production planning tool
  • Uses xTuple data bases and bridge software to create master schedule and to perform schedule maintenance
  • Receives customer demand through sales forecast and sales orders, Engineering Logs, and close communications with Project Management
  • Understand manufacturing capacity and analyze available capacity vs. demand capacity. Recommends solutions to capacity shortfalls; Provides Capacity Management Plan to
  • Leads resolution effort in resolving scheduling conflicts and capacity limitations
  • Drives attainment of business objectives through achievable production schedules to meet desired customer expectations for product lead times
  • Collaborates with Project Managers to plan for product completion/ship dates and to communicate planned ship dates or potential miss dates
  • As a subset of the Master Production Schedule, provides daily feedback to Project Managers on customer order status
  • Conducts meetings with senior management to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy and capacity shortfalls, and forecast for potential capacity issues
  • Maintains planning processes to manage past due customer orders, stocking orders and on-time-delivery in accordance to the demand plan, customer orders and internal metrics
  • Tracks and expedites, as necessary, late and problematic shop orders
  • The master scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:      
  • BS in Business Administration or relevant business degree with appropriate experience
  • Five years of MRP / ERP experience as a manufacturing factory production scheduler/planner
  • Must be a self starter with good analytical ability. Must be advanced is Excel and data base skills
  • Must have strong leadership skills in a team environment
  • Material sourcing and project management experience a plus
