Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company.  Employees may use accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment.  Up to 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Employees can contribute up to 15% of salary. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options.  Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.  Eligible to participate after one year of employment.

ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: Area Supervisor
LOCATION: 5107 Kissel Avenue, Altoona 16601
SHIFT: First Shift

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
The Electronic Manufacturing Technician (EMT) is a key position responsible for establishing processes and workmanship to IPC-A-610 standards for electrical and electronics product with a high emphasis on soldering. The position assists in the generation of procedures and work instructions for production line operations with an eye on reducing individual and process variation.  The EMT will Process Engineering Change Orders as necessary to maintain integrity of the product and drive cost down efforts.

The candidate must be able to maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs as they relate to ensuring an acceptable product/process quality. The person filling this position must be able to work independently and interact as a part of a team in order to support progress and milestones relative to project assignments.

An associate’s degree in electronics or related field preferred.  Five years experience as an electronics technician will be considered.  The EMT must have strong writing, documentation and speaking skills.
