Our Image Group main manufacturing plant is located in Altoona, PA, however we have offices in other parts of the country.  We also have a business relationship with partners in Germany, Australia, and China.  We have approximately 325 employees, on two or three shifts.  We provide the following products and services:

Training

Drugs and Alcohol
Blair does not tolerate drugs and alcohol on the premises, or the use of either while working.  We have the following polices in place: Pre-Employment Testing, Post-Accident Testing , Reasonable Suspicion Testing,  CDL Driver Testing, Random Screening

Health Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 60 days of employment.  Blair shares cost of premium for family or individual coverage.

Vision Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment.  This plan is provided in conjunction with the Health Care Benefits.

Dental Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment.  This plan is optional to those who choose to enroll in the Health Care Benefits.

Life Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Company funded life insurance, with the option to sign up for additional insurance paid for by the employee.  Includes spouse and children also.

Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company.  Employees may use accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment.  Up to 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Employees can contribute up to 15% of salary. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options.  Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.  Eligible to participate after one year of employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

WAREHOUSEMAN
REPORTS TO:  Area Supervisor
SHIFT:               Split Shift and Second Shift
LOCATION:  5107 Kissell Avenue Altoona, PA 16601

GENERAL:
  • Observe all safety rules and policies at all times with materials and tools.
  • Receive and follow instructions from team leaders and supervisors.
  • Maintain quality standards as well as time standards.                                                  
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform and fill out daily fork-lift inspection sheets 
  • Notify supervisor of damaged materials                                                          
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:       
          

Training
  • Must be able to demonstrate how to use a tape measure on materials used daily
  • Must have a command of basic math skills
  • Must have a command of basic computer skills to include mouse, power on off PC, use key board, type an email, navigate on desk top
  • Must pass Blair fork lift driving training
  • Must have capability to pull orders as needed
  • Must have capability to stock items as needed
  • Must be capable of training on navigation of xTuple Workbench program
  • Must be capable of training to use hand held transaction device
 Certified
  • Must pass xTuple test
  • Must possess good customer service skills
  • Must pass material transfer transaction test
  • Must pass material receiving test
  • Must pass shipping transaction test 
  • Must be proficient in the use of hand held transaction devices
  • Must be capable of filling out daily forklift inspection sheets and communicating safety concerns to Safety Manager and maintenance department immediately
  • Must be capable of Independently completing cycle counts of raw materials with respect to materials pulled for in process jobs
  • Must be proficient in labeling transacted materials
  • Must be capable of Completing a job from start to finish with no supervision
  • Must participate in production meetings and must react to production needs for materials and/or information
  • Must be capable of completing cycle counts and transactions as needed
  • Must be able to troubleshoot cycle counting issues
   Senior
  • Must pass a driver physical test
  • Must be capable of issuing work to trainees and certified employees as needed
  • Must be capable of staging all materials in an organized manner
  • Must pass basic Excel test
  • Able to interact constructively with project managers, procurement, engineering personnel and supervisors when necessary
  • Guide less experienced employees on safety and quality principles
 Advanced
  • Able to assume leadership role in absence of supervisor
  • Must possess the ability to assume all warehouse positions and complete all transactions
  • Must be capable of following xTuple transactions for the purpose of finding and correcting errors
  • Show proficiency in all xTuple modules that relate to warehouse transactions
  • Show proficiency with analyzing warehouse space based on forecasted material demand
  • Show proficiency with maximizing warehouse space based on inventory turns, skid size and distance traveled to docks.
  • Proficient with material counts (accuracy) within 1%
  • Must be proficient in ECR process (if applicable)
  • Must pass moderate Excel test
  • Must demonstrate, over time, warehouse management skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT DESCRIPTION
  • Manufacturing environment - appropriate safety equipment and precautions required such as safety glasses, face shields, gloves, ear plugs, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must function well in a Fast-paced work environment
  • Tobacco free facility
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Mandatory overtime occasionally as required
