POSITION STATUS:                Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt

Summary

Supervising employees, organizing and monitoring work flow

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. SAFETY                                                             
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment
  • Monitors, supports and enforces Company safety policies and practices
  1. QUALITY                                                          
  • Monitors, supports and enforces Company quality standards and practices
  • Recognizes deviations from standards; determines and performs corrective actions
  • Develops and implements process improvements
  1. EMPLOYEE - for assigned employee(s):    
  • Participates in new hire interviews and selection
  • Provides/Coordinates necessary training
  • Provides routine/timely performance feedback; Coaches as necessary
  • Conducts Interim and Annual Performance Evaluations
  • Monitors, supports and enforces Company Policies; Approves PTO and other time-off requests
  • Represents and promotes Company
  1. WORK SCHEDULE - Supports Work Schedule through assigned employee(s):           
  • Participates in routine Production Meetings
  • Communicates work schedule and output requirements
  • Schedules and assigns employee(s) within and to other Departments and/or Work Centers
  • Plans and monitors work flow; establishes priorities as needed

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  1-2 years supervisory experience.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be capable of using computers daily.  Will be using ERP system and common Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is often required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

 

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  The employee will be working around equipment and moving mechanical parts.  Manufacturing environment - appropriate safety equipment and precautions required such as safety glasses, face shields, gloves, ear plugs, etc.
