Thank you for applying with Blair Companies.  We currently have a variety of openings in our manufacturing plant in these areas: Assembly, Packing, Painting, and Vinyl Graphics.  Interested applicants are not required to have prior knowledge or experience in any of these areas, however it is always helpful if you do.  We provide on the job training for all new hires. 

Required skills for all positions include:
  • Basic computer skills - will be using computer daily to log work times
  • Basic math skills - able to read a ruler and add/subtract fractions, inches, cm, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints, or learn to read them
  • Ability to follow instructions and work quickly, maintaining quality standards
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • High degree of dependability -- we need you to be able to maintain a regular work schedule and keep unscheduled absences, lates and early leaves to a minimum
  • Team player -- we need mature, responsible individuals who really want to work at Blair Companies.  We strive to have a culture of respect at Blair.

Training
Blair places strong focus on career development for our employees, providing both internal and external training to help further our employees' professional growth. We most often promote from within to provide a rich career environment.

Drugs and Alcohol
Blair does not tolerate drugs and alcohol on the premises, or the use of either while working. We have the following polices in place: Pre-Employment, Post-Accident, Reasonable Suspicion and CDL Driver Testing as well as Random Screening.

Health Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 60 days of employment. Blair shares cost of premium for family or individual coverage.

Vision Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment. This plan is provided in conjunction with the Health Care Benefits.

Dental Insurance
Eligible to join the first of the month following 60 days of employment. This plan is optional to those who choose to enroll in Blair’s Health Care Benefits.

Life Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment. Company funded life insurance, with the option to sign up for additional insurance paid for by the employee. Includes spouse and children also.

Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment. Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company. Employees may use or save accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment. Includes 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options. Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.
