Compensation Opportunities
  • Productivity Bonus - Eligible after 90 days of employment.  Blair’s company-wide performance bonus program currently pays up to $500 per quarter based on seniority and productivity measurements.  Additional year-end payments have been made in exceptional years.
  • Merit Raises - Blair regularly provides raises to all employees based upon individual contributions to the organization as measured by a formal performance appraisal program. 
  • General Bonuses - Blair has several formal bonus programs that awards participating employees, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation as determined by individual performance and profitability of the company.

Drugs and Alcohol

Health Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Blair shares cost of premium for family or individual coverage.

Life Insurance
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Company funded life insurance, with the option to sign up for additional insurance paid for by the employee.  Includes spouse and children also.

Flexible Spending Account
Eligible to join the first day of the month after 90 days of employment.  Reimburses employees for qualifying healthcare and/or dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Paid Leave
Blair provides Paid Leave to regular, full-time and part-time employees based upon their length of service with the Company.  Employees may use accrued Paid Leave for vacation, personal business or time off for a personal health condition in accordance with established policy.

Paid Holidays
Eligible after 90 days of employment.  Up to 9 paid holidays for regular, full time and part time employees.

Retirement Plan
Eligible after one year of employment. Employees can contribute up to 15% of salary. Plan includes various, self-directed investment options.  Blair matches 1:3 of the first 6% of salary contributed.  Eligible to participate after one year of employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THIS OPENING:

POSITION:              Lead Installer
LOCATION:             1512 Blandwood Drive, Highpoint, NC  27260
REPORTS TO:           National Installation Manager
POSITION STATUS:   Regular, Full Time

GENERAL:
  • Observe all safety rules and policies at all times with materials and tools.
  • Receive and follow instructions from team leaders and supervisors.
  • Maintain quality standards as well as time standards.                                                    
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Notify Supervisor of any discrepancies on BOMs, BOOs, Prints, and Products.
                                                                       
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                                               
  • Be able to work at heights up to 35'. 
  • Must be prepared to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to read and understand prints/drawings.
  • Be able to operate a scissor lift and tow a trailer.
  • Be able to operate a small crane (2 ton).
  • Know and understand hand signals to assist crane operator in their lifts.
  • Know and understand how to repair and service lit and non-lit signs.
  • Must have valid State commercial driver license.
  • Pass welding qualification test.
  • Safely operate acetylene torch.
  • Know and understand how to complete proper paperwork.
  • As a representative of Blair, must demonstrate a high degree of professional etiquette with customers and contractors at all times.
  • Must oversee crew: train, supervise, and instruct subordinates as to how to use equipment safely and effectively.
  • Be able to keep crew busy when not in the field, including re-stocking and cleaning trucks.
  • Must ensure highest quality installations.
  • Must be able to resolve any issues that arise in the field.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with general contractors, city officials, and inspectors.
  • Must have all pre-installation paperwork completed prior to beginning the project; including crane inspection logs.
  • Must turn in all paperwork and completion photos in a timely manner upon job completion.
  • Must be able to independently complete a job from start to finish with no supervision.
  • Must be able to interact constructively with project managers and engineering personnel when necessary.
  • Be prepared to assume departmental responsibilities and/or leadership role in absence of supervisor.
  • Must have experience with architectural, ACM and millwork installations.  
WORK ENVIRONMENT DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                                                               
  • Outside work – must wear proper attire for weather conditions.
  • Wear all safety gear - hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses and safety harness when needed. Ensure other crew members do the same.
  • Lifting product up to 50 pounds; Fast-paced work as needed.                                                  

ADDITIONAL NOTES:                                                                                                             
This position requires extended travel and long work days to complete the job.
